mother of the bride
Every flower, every centerpiece, table set up, furniture arrangement, dessert table was just so beautifully done. So many details and personal touches! We had a large wedding party and a lot of guests to transport around the city. Christy kept us all in-line and on schedule. She has such a calming manner and a demeanor that says, “don’t worry, we have this”. It allowed us to just enjoy the special day with our family.”
Hi, I’m Christy! I founded this company in 2017 but I’ve been in the wedding industry since 2007. When I started Christina Burton Events, I wanted to run a business with compassion and honesty. My commitment to all my couples: I’m going to be there for you. I’m going to use my unique planning experience and problem-solving skills to ensure your wedding and the planning process is the most joy-filled experience for not only you, but your mom, dad, sister, brother, Maid of Honor, Best Man, and everyone else important to you. I’m your cheerleader, supporter and lifeline through this process and it’s an honor to work with you during such a significant time in your life. When I’m not planning, you can find me reading, traveling or hiking with my husband and two Great Pyrenees floofs.
My passion is attention to detail, making others smile, and making even the smallest moment magical.
I’ve spent the past 8 years planning graduations, birthdays, weddings , and more. I truly enjoy everything that goes into planning for someone's special day. I love to get to know each client individually and make their visions truly come to life.
When I'm not planning a wedding or event, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. My husband, Jonathan and I love renovating houses and I have a little boy, Parker, who keeps me on my toes at all times.. I love to do DIY projects, shop, and spend time outside with my dog Zola. I love sports , exceptional food, and a great murder mystery.
What's your favorite part of a wedding day?
My favorite part of the wedding day is the moment right before the reception starts. When everything is all set up and there is a buzz in the air. At the same time, things are quiet and perfectly beautiful for just a minute. Second favorite part is when the father of the bride gives a speech/toast, I always tear up at these moments!
What's the best wedding memory you have while working with the CBE Team?
(I have two favorite memories.) My favorite memory of working with the CBE team was my very first wedding with Christy in 2018 at Factory 12 Event Loft in Columbus, IN. I left the wedding completely exhausted and the next morning I couldn't move, but I also remember the feeling of knowing that this was a job I was going to LOVE.
I also have to say I feel incredibly lucky to have been a part of the wedding reception at the private lakehouse outside of Nashville, IN. That design and all the details that went into creating such a stunning reception are something I will not soon forget!
What do you love most about working with the CBE team?
I love being a part of the CBE team, because I am able to work alongside a passionate and talented group of people, and use all my different skills to transform an ordinary day into something beautiful and spectacular.
What's the best wedding memory you have?
One of my favorite things to do for fun is to go latin dancing; I love to bachata and salsa and meet new people. Two of my favorite weddings were of friends I met while dancing. I got to see the couples meet, fall in love, and then go to their weddings. Each of these couples danced bachata for their first dance at their reception. They were beautiful, sexy, and sweet together, and it made me so happy to see something so personal and with so much love in a single dance.

What's your favorite part of a wedding day?
My favorite part of a wedding day is the father-daughter dance. When you meet a bride you get to play a crucial role in a small part of her life. Seeing the bride and her father dance and listening to the song they choose, allows us to get a glimpse into their relationship from long before that day. It's a chance for us to get to know the bride and her father on a personal level and just goes to show that we connect on a deeper level. It's something I always look forward to and can't wait until I have my very own father-daughter dance!
What do you do for fun?
For fun, my fiancé and I love to cook! I'm slowly starting to enjoy spicy foods...very slowly. We love hosting our friends and family and have started the tradition of "Pre-Thanksgiving-Thanksgiving." Our goal is to eventually be able to host our family for Thanksgiving down the road but for now, we love attempting different techniques to perfect the treasured holiday! Our five year old Basset hound, Rosie, thinks we've perfected it already, based on the scraps she seems to always get when I'm not looking.
