Summer Lake House Wedding in Columbus, Indiana
Karla and Peter’s wedding was a highlight of the 2018 season. So it seems fitting that I should show you their beautiful lake house wedding on their one-year anniversary.
It shouldn’t surprise me at all that these two, with a love story like no other, would also have a one-of-a-kind wedding. Karla from Chile and Peter from Indiana met while each traveling abroad in Granada. It was a truly chance meeting that shaped a love story that spanned continents.
Their wedding in Columbus, Indiana brought together friends and family from all over the world, so as I helped them design their day, we all knew that this needed to be an incredible wedding their guests would never forget.
The outdoor wedding reception was held at Peter’s family’s beautiful, modern lake house. The woods and lake provided the perfect backdrop for their wedding festivities.
Karla and I both share a love for details, so their wedding had no shortage of details unique to them. Cocktail hour featured a Bossa Nova band playing Brazilian jazz. There were brightly colored wedding centerpieces by the amazing Woven Blooms. The outdoor wedding reception kicked off with a tequila toast a nod to Karla’s mother’s Mexican heritage, out of beautiful blue hand-painted Mexican Talavera glasses. And a neon sign that read “Los Laskey” lit up the dance floor.
Between the beautiful love story between these two and the gorgeous wedding details – this wedding was one for the books!
