Collective on Market is a charming event venue right in the heart of Louisville, Kentucky. With a light-filled space, central location, full kitchen, oh and not to mention furniture already onsite. This space is perfect for rehearsal dinners, bridal showers and as a getting ready space. This small event venue can fit 60 people cocktail style, 50 ceremony style and 40 as a seated dinner.

Whitehall House & Garden

3110 Lexington Road, Louisville, KY

Starting off the list with Whitehall House & Gardens! This 19th century antebellum home creates the perfect romantic and elegant backdrop for a wedding day. The gardens surrounding the home are a setting unlike any other for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and photos making this an epic Louisville KY wedding venue!

Hurstbourne Country Club

9000 Hurstbourne Club Lane, Louisville, KY

A staple country club on the east side of Louisville, Hurstbourne Country Club has one of our favorite outdoor ceremony spaces.  Their chapel in the middle of their golf course is unique yet classic and elegant.

Things we love:

  • Outdoor Ceremony Chapel (shown in photo below)
  • Cocktail hour in the garden
  • Great bride and groom rooms to get ready in
  • Access to a golf cart to guarantee you get the best photos
  • Dining room for dinner with a wall of windows overlooking the golf course

Hotel Distil

101 W Main Street, Louisville, KY

A bourbon themed hotel in a fantastic location on Louisville’s Whiskey Row. Hotel Distil has a rich Kentucky and bourbon feel that will be the perfect bluegrass welcome for your out-of-state guests.

Germantown Gables is a large modern, Kentucky wedding venue serving clients in the heart of Louisville. This venue has a huge indoor space that’s big enough to fit over 400 people (cocktail hour style), a spacious courtyard and getting ready suites all while being in Germantown in Louisville – within walking distance or a short 5-10 minute drive to hotels, airbnbs, restaurants, parks and more. This convenient location makes planning a wedding a breeze.

Seelbach

500 S 4th Street, Louisville, KY

The Seelbach is a luxury hotel staple in Louisville with so much rich history!  It was established in 1905 and it’s past delivers so much distinct character.  This hotel provides all the Al Capone and Gatsby feels!

Things we love:

  • The Rathskeller: an underground room filled with dramatic archway pillars
  • Pet-friendly accommodations (bring along your furry family member for those wedding photos!) 
  • A Grand Ballroom with marble wall accents, crystal chandeliers and an elegant fireplace

Ice House

Located in the heart of downtown Louisville, the historic Ice House stands as the premier event venue for all occasions.

Kentucky Derby Museum

704 Central Avenue, Louisville, KY

The Kentucky Derby Museum is one of the most popular locations around Louisville, celebrating the rich tradition and history surrounding the Kentucky Derby Event taking place every May.

Things we love:

  • Located next to the legendary Churchill Downs Racetrack

Peterson Dumesnil House

301 S Peterson Avenue, Louisville, KY

Located in the Crescent Hill neighborhood, not too far from downtown Louisville, this House was built in 1869 and features a Victorian-Italian villa facade, wrap-around porch, spiral staircase, and distinctive cupola. This venue offers so much character, history, and a gorgeous backdrop for your day.

Frazier History Museum

829 W Main Street, Louisville, KY

The Frazier is a history museum located in the West Main District of downtown Louisville.  If you walk inside and up to the third-floor bourbon exhibit, you will see why it’s the official starting point of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.

Waterfront Botanical Gardens

1435 Frankfort Avenue, Louisville, KY

The Waterfront Botanical Gardens lie within the boundaries of one of Louisville’s oldest city areas, known as “The Point.” This venue offers unique indoor and outdoor spaces that can host either large or intimate celebrations.

The Brown Hotel

Speed Art Museum

2035 S 3rd Street, Louisville, KY

As Kentucky’s oldest and largest art museum, the Speed Art Museum offers a unique and artful setting.  A dynamic array of architectural styles is represented across the museum, from the classically inspired original building to recent additions. 

Things we love:

  • Floor to ceiling windows with a reflecting pool is a gorgeous location for ceremonies (pictured above) 
  • The 1927 Building has galleries, classic architecture, and a Grand Staircase creating an unbelievable event space and photo opportunities
  • The English Renaissance Room is perfect for intimate dinners. 
  • There’s a fully equipped gourmet kitchen for vendors

Locust Grove

561 Blankenbaker Lane, Louisville, KY

Historic Locust Grove is a 55-acre, 18th-century farmstead and National Historic Landmark located in eastern Jefferson County. Owned by the Louisville Metro government, the site is managed and interpreted by Historic Locust Grove, Inc. as a living history destination.

  • The secluded remote vibe, yet only minutes from Louisville
  • The historic brick and stone buildings on site 
  • The beautiful Quadrant Gardens and landscaping surrounding the property

The Prologue

227 Pearl St, New Albany, IN 47150

Located mere minutes from Louisville in a short journey across the Ohio River stands The Prologue. Originally built in the late 1800s, The Prologue is a meticulously restored historic venue showcasing elegant French-style architecture and a lush, New Orleans-inspired garden—an ideal setting for receptions or al fresco dining. Inside, guests will find a collection of spacious, thoughtfully designed rooms that offer a timeless and inviting backdrop for any gathering.

Hazelnut Farm

816 Eastwood Fisherville Road, Wilsonville, KY

Designed from the ground up as a wedding and event venue, Hazelnut Farm did not miss any details when it came to making sure their space could check all the boxes.  

Things we love: 

  • They’re just 15-20 minutes from downtown
  • Plenty of parking
  • Bride and groom suites on site
  • All-day facility rental 
  • Open vendor policy 
  • Outdoor lake-side ceremony option

Savor at River House

Yew Dell Botanical Gardens

6220 Old Lagrange Road, Crestwood, KY

The Yew Dell Botanical Gardens is an inspiring collection of unique gardens and indoor spaces. The variety of building structures and architecture throughout the property allows this space to fit any wedding theme and because of the variety of gardens, something is always blooming at Yew Dell. This place is an absolute dream. 

Things we love: 

  • 20 minutes outside of Louisville
  • The stone castle can hold up to 60 guests but also a beautiful backdrop for any photo (pictured above) 
  • The Log Cabin is a great option for a groom’s ready room
  • Spacious lawn, lined with plants, florals, and trees
  • An iconic row of holly trees called The Holly Allee creates stunning photo opportunities 
  • Large structural beams inside the Gheens Barn
  • The Stone Terrace with market lights and rustic barn backdrop is the perfect recipe for gorgeous cocktail hours

Hermitage Farm

Located twenty miles outside of Louisville, Hermitage Farm is known for its legendary thoroughbred operations, sustainable, organic farm-to-table dining, bourbon experience, and contemporary art. With over 650 acres of rolling pastures, this wedding location has such a wonderful Kentucky feel!

  • The Hayloft event space!  With hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling bourbon barrel rick, and hundreds of globe lights – this space is incredible!

The Gaffney House
