Sneha and Rahul’s boho wedding at Hazelnut Farm was on a beautiful Kentucky summer day.
Hazelnut Farm was a perfect location for Sneha and Rahul, not only because it was the perfect backdrop for their boho design but it also fit their needs to conduct a traditional Indian wedding as well. The venue is situated on a farm of 40 rolling acres of grasses and gardens with a private lake and hidden stream.
The wedding weekend actually began on Friday night with a traditional Mehndi event and Saturday with a Welcome Party. Sneha and Rahul’s big wedding day took place on Sunday, July 4th.
The Big Day at Hazelnut Farm
Sneha and her bridesmaids got ready at the private home on the Hazelnut Farm property. The private home is a beautiful, large home located within walking distance to the main event space. The home have four bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, outdoor heated pool, multiple outdoor balconies and it’s a great location to spend the night before your wedding day here or arrive early and get ready in this space, which is what Sneha and Rahul chose to do.
It was an early morning and this private home provided a great location to get ready for both the bridal and groom parties.
Sneha and Rahul opted for a first look on the grounds. It was a beautiful setting and was a perfect backdrop for this moment.
The Baarat
A traditional baarat took place outdoors. The baraat is meant to bring the groom to the wedding venue with much pomp and fervor. The groom, decked in traditional Indian finery, is usually seated on a ceremonial horse, in this case a style motorcycle, as guests lead the way, dancing.
The Pokwani Ceremony
The traditional Pokwani ceremony was held in the Hazelnut Farm Ballroom. This room has three 72 light chandeliers hanging in the center of the room, wood and brick accents and white french doors. We brought the boho wedding design into this space through the wedding arch, floral and grass accents and layered rugs lining the aisle.
After the ceremony, lunch was held in the Eastwood and Lakeview Rooms at Hazelnut Farm.
Cocktail Hour
Cocktail hour took place on the covered back patio overlooking the lake and the grounds. This was a perfect location with plenty of space for all to enjoy. Sneha and Rahul changed outfits for their reception that evening. Sneha opted for a beautiful sparkly champagne colored dress and Rahul to a dapper tuxedo.
The Reception at Hazelnut Farm
The boho wedding reception took place in the Ballroom at Hazelnut Farm. The boho design was showcased in the champagne wall, fireplace floral, centerpieces and tablescapes as well as the sweetheart table.
The wedding flowers were different shades of nude, blush and white. Pampas grass was in every aspect of the design from the fireplace mantel to floral arrangements and accent pieces. The Eastwood and Lakeview Rooms are through sliding doors connected to the main ballroom. This was a great option for the catered food. It provided an awesome layout with the ability to fit all of the guests in the main room.
After dinner, there was plenty of music and dancing. The night ended with a fireworks show! It was the perfect way to end Sneha and Rahul’s wedding day at Hazelnut Farm!
Huge thank you to all of the vendors, who worked so hard to make this experience absolutely incredible for Sneha, Rahul and all of their friends and family!
