Katie Beth and Dylan’s industrial wedding at Factory 12 Event Loft in Columbus, Indiana was vibrant, lively, and stylish. This couple was so much fun to work with. Katie Beth wanted to hire a full-service wedding planner as a gift to herself. She wanted the ability to fully enjoy the time of their engagement without the extra stress of planning a wedding. Katie Beth and Dylan knew what they wanted their day to be like, and bringing their vision to life at Factory 12 Event Loft was so much fun.
Katie Beth and Daylan chose to get married at Factory 12 Event Loft in Columbus, Indiana, which is an industrial-style space with exposed brick walls and a dark exposed ceiling. To go along with their chosen venue, they wanted to keep the decor simple, classic, and natural using a lot of rich, textural greenery with touches of white and ivory flowers. We added in gold and black details to complete the look.
The bridal party got ready in the bridal suite at Factory 12 Event Loft. It is always so convenient to have a getting-ready space at the event site. Katie Beth had a custom wedding dress made by Erin Young Designs out of Indianapolis, Indiana. She looked absolutely stunning.
The First Look
The bride and groom decided to do a private first look outside of Factory 12 Event Loft. This location was perfect with the lush greenery and industrial-styled elements. This gave the couple a different background that was still cohesive with the rest of their wedding photos from inside Factory 12 Event Loft.
The Wedding Party
Before the ceremony, the entire wedding party took photos outside Factory 12 Event Loft as well as at a local park.
Factory 12 Event Loft provided a beautiful exposed brick background that matched the interior aesthetic.
The bride and groom even included their sweet pups in photos. Katie Beth and Dylan are constantly rescuing and fostering dogs that are in need, which is truly incredible!
The Ceremony
Katie Beth and Daylan chose to have both their ceremony and reception in the same space at Factory 12 Event Loft to make things as easy as possible for their guests. The main room is large enough that we divided the space to essentially have a separate area for both.
For the ceremony space, we used the side of the main room with the most windows and natural light. This space also had a ton of exposed brick and gorgeous hardwood floors which provided a beautiful industrial look and also a perfect backdrop for the greenery to stand out.
We separated the ceremony and reception space with floor to ceiling black pipe and draping that blended right into the room and looked natural falling from the existing dark ceiling.
The service was intimate and heartfelt. Katie Beth and Daylan chose to have a friend of theirs officiate so that made the ceremony very personal.
The Reception
The guests transitioned over to the reception area for cocktail hour. They were able to grab a drink and enjoy passed appetizers while they found their seats. For the reception, we used a lot of textural greenery, including southern smilax, olive branch, various types of eucalyptus, and leather leaf. We added in touches of white flowers including roses, baby’s breath, spray roses, snapdragons, lisianthus, and garden roses. The flowers were chosen for their classic and elegant look. The greenery added a lot of texture while the white flowers added a classic elegance.
We hung over a thousand twinkle lights above and a chandelier of twinkle lights and greenery hanging above the cake table and dance floor. We kept the table linens neutral by using white with taupe napkins. This added light and contrast to the space with dark wooden floors and chairs. Interest was added to the space by using a mixture of large rectangle tables and round tables.
On the round tables, there were tall floral centerpieces heavy with greenery sitting on a tall gold stand. The rectangular tables had garlands of greenery running the length of the table with tea lights tucked in.
The couple wanted to choose some of their favorite foods to share with their guests. This also kept things interesting and allowed the guests to indulge crowd favorites like tacos and pasta during the reception.
The couple had a cookie bar with desserts for humans and also sweet treats guests could take home to their furry family members. This was a perfect touch with how much the couple’s pups mean to them.
Katie Beth and Dylan faced some tough situations along the way while planning their wedding, however, the end result was everything they were imagining and so much more. Despite the chellenging situations, I am so glad this deserving couple had the wedding day of their dreams!
A big thank you to all of the incredible people who played a part in making this day amazing!
