Dani and Jake’s Midwest wedding was on a gorgeous day in late September at City Winery West Loop in Chicago.
Dani and Jake were the sweetest couple to work with.
The planning process was longer than expected due to the pandemic, but well worth the wait!
The Rehearsal
This Midwest wedding weekend kicked off on Friday night with a fun rehearsal dinner at Summer House Santa Monica. This venue is a Santa Monica–style beach house that has a retractable roof, brick-lined walls, string lighting, plants and a year round courtyard perfect for the colder seasons in the Midwest.
The rehearsal dinner was followed by a welcome party at Moe’s Cantina River North, a chic, industrial style restaurant with craft cocktails and Mexican fare.
The Wedding Day
On the morning of the wedding, Dani and her bridesmaid’s got ready at the Gold Plaited salon and the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel. Jake and his groomsmen got ready at a friend’s house near City Winery West Loop
The wedding party was transported to iconic locations around the city: Millennium Park, Lurie Gardens and Adler Planetarium, for the bride and groom’s first look and wedding party photos.
The Ceremony
After photos, the group was dropped off at City Winery West Loop where guests were eagerly awaiting Dani and Jake’s ceremony to begin in the wine garden of the City Winery West Loop.
Cocktail Hour
Once the ceremony finished, guests transitioned to cocktail hour located in the wine garden just behind the ceremony spot.
The Reception
The reception space was located in the Barrel Room in the City Winery West Loop. This space was intimate with an industrial style with exposed brick walls lined with oak wine barrels and bottles of wine.
The bride and groom had a sweetheart table, surrounded by their wedding party and were both on the stage.
The tables and chairs had a wooden finish with some tables dressed in white linen. There were blush colored napkins as well as white and pink flowers on each table. There were hints of gold throughout the design on candles and floral vases. The softness of the table design paired beautifully with the industrial concrete and brick walls.
A late night snack was provided by the infamous Chicago’s Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria for any late night cravings.
This wedding came together so beautifully and was the perfect reflection of Dani and Jake. It was also as true to the city of Chicago as you could get.
Thank you to all of the amazing vendors that helped bring this wedding day to life!
