Kristen and Johnny had their wedding at Castle and Key Distillery on a gloomy October day in Lexington, Kentucky. As their designated wedding planners in Lexington, we were thrilled to bring this wedding to life!
The wedding day began at the Marriott City Center where both the bride and the groom and their wedding parties got ready. First look photos and photos of the wedding party were taken around downtown Lexington.
Castle and Key Distillery weddings are an iconic and memorable Kentucky experience. A wedding at Castle and Key Distillery allows you full weekend access to the entire property. The historic backdrop rich with stunning restoration and outdoor gardens is the perfect setting for locals and out of town guests to have that quintessential Kentucky distillery experience.
The ceremony took place in the Sunken Garden – a picturesque outdoor event space with multiple romantic backdrops like the stone buildings covered in greenery, manicured bushes, a well house, and even a koi pond.
The cocktail hour took place in The Springhouse. It was a beautiful background with concrete columns and market lights. Cocktail tables were placed in and around the Springhouse. A buffet table was set with appetizers for guests to enjoy.
The wedding reception took place in the Shooking building, a large industrial styled room that can fit up to 200 guests. The room had concrete flooring, steel beams and exposed brick walls. The wedding design at the reception had long wooden kings tables with blue runners, greenery and various votives, tea lights and candlesticks with gold accents.
The reception was warm and inviting and it was the perfect setting for a memorable Castle and Key Distillery wedding.
